“Ligtas Ka ba?: A Sexual and Unlawful Harassment Prevention Webinar”

The Alliance of Young Mathematicians (AYM) had an event with the theme, “Ligtas Ka ba? A Sexual and Unlawful Harassment Prevention Webinar” last March 19, 2022. The activity was done virtually via Zoom Meeting and Facebook Live. It was participated by the RTU students and faculty. The AYM Officers spearheaded the event.

The event was held in participation in Women’s Month to gain awareness about

the topic. Its main purpose was to educate people on how to learn, understand and tune

into the mental and physical well-being of themselves, their partners, their family, and

other people and give fun to the students and faculty members of the university. The

Alliance of Young Mathematicians grabbed the opportunity for the event to serve as a

get-together of the students from 1st year to 4th year since pandemics arise and

face-to-face classes are impossible.

The booth was a success giving the students the opportunity to have fun and the

chance to get some prizes. The students had fun with the challenging game, “4 Pics 1 Phrase,” wherein you need to think critically to guess the phrase given

the four pictures. Some students even won the set of games and raffle that

gave them the opportunity to Gcash load. With the agreement of all the officers, the AYM

will surely take part in the upcoming events of the University and provide the same

quality of work or even better.
